Ski mountaineering is at the core of The North Face’s heritage. In this 30-second spot that I wrote, produced, and directed, Hilaree O’Neill and I climb and ski in Grand Teton National Park, one of our favorite stomping grounds. Our goal was to really show an authentic ski mountaineering experience. We wanted the piece to speak to both the general public and a core audience of mountain athletes. Staying true to our roots, we shot in an expedition style, with a highly skilled, light-and-fast crew that shadowed us on the ground and in the air. We had tons of fun on this one….
